Shakespeare Monologue Competition

Here’s how it works:

Contestants prepare their own 1-3 minute monologue—they can either memorize or read. They will be judged by a four-person panel comprised of various local Shakespeare/theatre aficionados based on character, stage presence, voice, and emotion.

JDLT encourages both actors and audience to come on out and toast the Bard—beer aFnd wine will be available from the Silverbow Wine Bar. Bring your own flagon, but please, no outside mead. Get thee to a nunnery, anon (by which mean the JDLT’s Shakespeare Monologue Contest on or around the Bard's Birthday on April 23).
